acib

Dried powder preparations of whole cell catalysts, enzyme-characterization and identification of API metabolites.

In ROBOX, the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology (acib) takes part in two work packages.  Firstly the research center will perform experiments to optimize dried powder preparations of active whole cell catalysts and their storage and transport stabilities.

Secondly, acib is an experienced partner for the characterization of oxidative enzymes in terms of substrate scope and product identification. acib researchers have established analytical methods for many active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) available. Moreover, acib has the capacity to produce and identify API metabolites on the multi-milligram scale. Working in close collaboration with TUG and DSM, the aim is to identify the most stable, most versatile and most specific enzymes or whole cell catalysts for industrially desired biotransformations.
